Hello All and welcome to Janet Jackson Madness. The object of this is pretty simple. We will be voting for the ultimate Janet song March Madness style.
How will it work?
We are starting with the first four popular albums. We wanted to include Janet Jackson and Dream Street but we needed an even number to make this work.
Once we get down to the final 4 songs we will move on to the next 4 albums. When we have 8 songs left one of those 8 will become the greatest song ever.
Where did the rankings come from?
We ranked songs by play counts on Last.fm. The top 16 most played songs made the cut. The songs that will be voted against each other can be seen in this chart.
You may notice that a few songs are missing. That’s because they didn’t make the top 16. We added as many Bsides/Duets as we could. Also, a few interludes were left in in order to make a complete set of 16 songs.
Voting:
There will be 4 votes per day. One from each album set. To make this even more interesting and avoid cheating votes will be hidden until the poll closes. Poll closing will be around midnight of each day or longer if there is a tie.
Song chart will be updated as votes progress.
Lastly, this is just meant to be fun. Don’t forget to post and tweet about it so as many people as possible can play along.
